Literature Text

My heart once told me to draw a picture of the sunset over the waters.
I did.
I pulled out my pencil and drew the radiant colors of the sea.

My heart once told me to write a story to the flow of nature’s whispers.
I did.
I wrote about the forests, the mountains, and valleys of belief.

My heart once told me to sing a song to the gentle breeze.
I did.
I hummed the tune to the crickets in the grass, joining in a crusade for inspiration.

My heart once told me to take pictures of the city.
I did.
I pointed out the mesmerizing lights for my own true initiation.

My heart once told me to make new friends, but never forget those before.
I did.
I began to relinquish all my faults as the essence of time wore on.

My heart once told me to be happy with myself.
I did.
I began to see somebody worthwhile in the mirror, a blessing apon.

My heart once told me to follow my dreams.
I did.
I followed them in all directions, though the good, the bad, the high, and the low.

My heart once told me love was real.
I didn’t believe it.
And now, I’ll wander aimlessly searching for the one thing I’ll never know.
Similar to my last poem...

Quickie...

But I need to think of inspiration...

Oh wow...you just made me rather depressed. ^^;

Especially since those last three lines are a subject i've been thinking about a lot lately and have been finding it hard to get a clear answer.

Love is complicated, isn't it? You might have it, but you can't grasp it, and you wonder where it might lead you.

My situation of love seems to have been dragged right out of a soap opera, truthfully. And I don't knowif it'll ever resolve into a happy ending. I can hope that it will, but I can never know.
